Job summary

Health First is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in a collaborative setting. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, care coordination, and patient and family engagement.

The RN will administer medications, document care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning while maintaining safety and infection prevention standards. Florida RN licensure is required; ASN or Diploma is stated as minimum education, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required; Florida RN license or endorsement.
• BSN preferred for preferred qualifications.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and accurate patient documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and in-direct patient care following the nursing process.
• Administer medications and document care per policies.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and support discharge planning.
• Apply critical thinking to changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Educate patients and families using teach-back for engagement and safe transitions.
• Uphold safety, infection prevention, and quality/safety initiatives.
• Utilize Health First technology to document care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement and High Reliability initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding of new staff and students.
• Promote bedside communication and rounding practices.
