Job summary

Health First is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with the care team. You will follow the nursing process, promote evidence-based practice, and engage patients and families to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination, rounds participation, and discharge planning. Strong assessment, documentation, and safety practices are essential to support high reliability and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required; Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
• AMA or ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications may be required per unit.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously.
• Experience with EMR documentation and patient safety initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and document care activities per policy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds and discharge planning.
• Identify patient changes and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families using teach-back to support engagement.
• Adhere to safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support onboarding of new associates and students as appropriate.
