Job summary

Health First is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a collaborative environment. The RN will use the nursing process to promote optimal outcomes, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning.

The role requires a Florida RN license, ASN or nursing diploma, and BLS certification; there is emphasis on quality and patient safety, and on using EMR for documentation. BSN preferred, with potential for specialty certifications.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• State licensure as Registered Nurse in Florida or endorsement.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card before start date.
• Certifications to meet unit needs (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and in-direct patient care following the nursing process.
• Administers medications and documents care activities per policy.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care coordination and rounds.
• Promotes patient and family engagement and safe transitions.
