Job summary

Health First is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in a collaborative environment. The RN will follow the nursing process, administer medications, document care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning.

The position requires an ASN or Nursing Diploma with RN licensure (Florida or endorsement) and mandatory BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP/NIHSS per unit needs. Per Diem schedule, evening shifts, and ongoing safety initiatives are included.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required with RN licensure in Florida (endorsement allowed).
• New graduates considered based on unit needs; Florida license or endorsement required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS per unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care following the nursing process.
• Administer medications and document care per policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds and discharge planning.
• Apply critical thinking to changes in patient condition and interventions.
• Educate patients and families using teach-back techniques for engagement.
• Adhere to safety and infection prevention practices for patients and staff.
• Use Health First tech systems for documentation and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and HRO initiatives.
• Support onboarding of new associates and students as appropriate.
• Promote bedside communication and rounding practices to enhance care.
