Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) on the Medical-Surgical Unit in Putnam, CT. The role includes diagnosing health problems and providing emergent, supportive, and restorative care using the nursing process for diverse patients.

The position offers a prorated sign-on bonus up to $12,000 for eligible applicants and requires CT RN licensure, CPR, and NVCIT within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• NVCIT certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Document care accurately and completely.
• Demonstrate competence with patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Recognize and respond to unsafe or life-threatening situations.
