Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team for a 36-hour weekly schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role provides direct patient care using the nursing process and requires critical thinking in high-acuity environments.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, documenting care, and implementing plans while ensuring safety and quality. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $13,500.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT certification within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS certification or completion within orientation.
• NIHSS certification or completion within orientation.
• Experience in Critical Care nursing preferred.
• Basic arrhythmia course/challenge exam within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Utilize effective oral and written communication for complete documentation.
• Demonstrate accurate technical skill and knowledge of care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and reformulate the plan of care as needed.
• Develop and implement a care plan for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene.
