Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our ICU team on a day shift (7a-7p). Eligible candidates may receive a prorated sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 for this 24-hour position.

The RN will provide emergent, supportive, and restorative care using nursing process, with duties including patient assessment, documentation, and plan-of-care development. CT RN licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CT Registered Nurse license required.
• AHA CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Document accurately and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate technical skill and knowledge of patient care equipment.
• Evaluate and adjust the plan of care as necessary.
• Develop and implement a care plan for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene.
