Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a part-time Medical-Surgical RN for the 11p–7a shift on the Putnam, CT unit. The role includes diagnosing health problems, providing emergent and restorative patient care, and ensuring age-appropriate care for patients. Eligible applicants may receive a prorated $12,000 sign-on bonus.

The RN will perform assessments, document thoroughly, operate care equipment, and adapt plans of care as needed to support patient recovery and discharge goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut (required).
• Current AHA CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual needs by age and development.
• Document clearly and accurately; communicate effectively with team and patient families.
• Operate patient care equipment with required technical skill and knowledge.
• Evaluate and adjust the care plan to meet patient goals and discharge needs.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene promptly.
