Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Surg Unit. The role involves providing emergent, supportive and restorative care according to the nursing process, with patient care tailored to age-specific needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CT nursing license.
• CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) within 3 months of hire.
• NVCIT certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs by age and developmental level.
• Use effective oral and written communication to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate skill and knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate the plan of care and adjust goals as needed.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene appropriately.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current CT RN license

Current CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)

Current NVCIT certification
