Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg unit on the 11p-7a night shift. This position offers a competitive base rate plus night shift differential and full benefits starting at 24 hours per week.

The RN will assess and respond to health problems using the nursing process, provide emergent, supportive, and restorative care, and document thoroughly. Required CT RN license, CPR, and NVCIT certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut required.
• Current AHA CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs according to age and development for care planning.
• Communicate effectively and document nursing assessments clearly.
• Demonstrate technical skill with patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust plan of care to meet goals and safety.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and respond to emergencies.
