Job summary

Atlantic Health's Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Orthopedics (3 West) unit on the full-time night shift (7 pm–7:30 am). You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patients, administer medications, document care, and support discharge planning.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, NJ RN licensure, and BLS certification; BSN preferred and ASN must complete BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (NJ).
• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience desirable.
• BSN preferred; ASN must complete BSN within five years of start date.
• Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
