Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics/Med Surg unit at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ. This full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am) position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to monitor patients, administer medications, maintain records, and educate patients.

Qualified applicants will be graduates of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in New Jersey and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; ASN encouraged to pursue BSN within five years.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the care team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

BLS certification

BSN preferred

ACLS certification preferred
