Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking registered nurses for night shift (11pm–7am) to deliver professional care across the nursing process. The role requires nursing assessments, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program; Texas RN license with BLS certification. BSN preferred; additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
• RN levels: RN I <1 year; RN II 1-3 years; RN III 3-10 years; RN IV 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, educates patients, maintains medical records.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to deliver patient care.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies.
• Promotes compassionate, personalized, and efficient care for every patient.
