Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7p–7a) in a surgical/OR setting. The role requires coordination with physicians and healthcare team to provide professional nursing care, nursing assessments, exams, treatment, patient education, and accurate medical records.

Eligible candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with an active Texas nursing license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Licenses: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certified
Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
RN experience levels range from RN I to RN IV, reflecting years of nursing practice

Responsibilities

Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills and patient needs.
Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes based on standards of care.
Coordinates discharge and transfer plans and participates in program evaluation and improvement.
Promotes patient-centered service and adheres to regulatory and institutional standards.
