Job summary

Northwest Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in the Clinical Decision/Observation unit in Tucson. You will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and ensure quality outcomes while maintaining a compassionate environment.

You will participate in audits and education, adhere to safety standards, and support ongoing professional development in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience required
• 1+ years RN Telemetry/Cardiac/Observation preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and clinical practices
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring side effects
• Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to patient safety and infection control

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care per nursing process and policies
• Assess patients, document findings, and report condition changes
• Administer prescribed meds and monitor for side effects
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team as needed
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge plans
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in QA activities
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement
