Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.
• New graduate RN’s who acquire their generic RN education through an on-line program will not meet LMC minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Educates patients and families about condition, medications, and self-care skills.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting actions and continuing needs.
• Uses systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering and evaluation of health problems.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to infection-control policies.
