Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking an RN for the Observation Unit at Miller Dwan Medical Center. The role involves organizing and delivering patient care across assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with leadership duties for nursing staff.

The position supports a 0.75 FTE schedule, 12-hour night shifts, permanent night rotation, and every third weekend. Minnesota licensure and BCLS within one month are required.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN licensure is required.
• BCLS certification within one month of hire.
• 1 year Acute Med/Surg RN experience preferred; Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Lead and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and training.
• Contribute to meeting the facility and Essentia Health goals and mission, serving the community.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory/accrediting requirements as applicable.
