Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is hiring a Nursing Assistant to join the inpatient rehab team. The role involves helping with personal care, vital signs, and safe patient transfers, with 56 hours over two weeks and weekend rotation.

Night shifts from 10pm to 6:30am require reliability and patient-centered care. You will need 6 months of CNA experience or related training, plus eligibility for state registry and optional Foundation Course enrollment within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 6 months of nursing assistant experience
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
• Enrollment into Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Responsibilities

• Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs
• Providing comfort care and other assistance
• Transferring patients safely
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
• Reporting changes in patient condition to the RN promptly
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment to promote healing
