Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift RN for the Nursery (Family Care) Unit. You will provide nursing care to healthy and at-risk newborns and support families through labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with OB providers and a family-centered care approach in a NICU-ready setting. The position requires RN licensure, a high school diploma or GED, and a nursing degree (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state is required.
• One-year of RN work experience is required.
• Level II NICU experience is preferred to support youngest neonates.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to healthy and at-risk newborns during transition, stabilization, hospitalization, and discharge.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with OB providers, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birthing and postpartum experience.
• Advocate for individualized, patient-centered birth plans while ensuring evidence-based care.
