Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Level III Nursery on the night shift (7p-7a). The nurse will provide direct neonatal nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with nursing standards and hospital policies.

Qualified candidates have an accredited nursing program degree, a current NC RN license or compact state license, and BCLS certification with AHA if not already held.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification; if not from AHA, an AHA certification within three months.
• ACLS/NRP or other area-specific certifications may be required within stated timeframes depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and make nursing decisions appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Collaborate with health care professionals to meet patient needs and ensure quality care.
• Adhere to CVMC policies and Nursing Bylaws while practicing per NC Nurse Practice Act.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients in Level III Nursery.
