Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's MercyOne unit is seeking a Night Shift Nurse Manager to lead nursing operations, empower staff, and shape patient care. You will oversee daily department activities, support recruitment, and foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

This role requires an accredited nursing degree, Iowa RN license, and leadership experience. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• BLS certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support nursing colleagues in a positive, collaborative environment.
• Oversee day-to-day department operations: staffing, hiring, training, performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop colleagues with succession planning.
• Champion exceptional, patient-centered care and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Monitor quality, safety, operational, and financial outcomes; identify improvements.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.
