Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for Neuro ICU (Nights) to provide high-quality nursing care in a demanding hospital setting. The RN I will support physicians, monitor patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team while upholding OU Health values and standards.

The role requires an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 0–3 years of patient care experience, and an Oklahoma RN license or eNLC.

Qualifications

• RN I level requires nursing theory knowledge and practical application.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Oklahoma RN license or eNLC multi-state license required.

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and professional standards.
• Manage assigned patient or group of patients and document responses.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostics/treatments.
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed.
• Deliver safe, competent patient care and address concerns promptly.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and discharge plans.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel when needed.
