Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the Critical Care Stepdown unit to work nights in Oklahoma City. You will deliver skilled nursing care, monitor patients with complex conditions, document responses to therapies, and collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 3–5 years in patient care and an Oklahoma RN license, BLS, and preferred specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 3-5 years of patient care as an RN.
• License: RN License in OK or multi-state compact (eNLC).
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align with OU Health values and nursing practice standards.
• Assume responsibility for an assigned patient or group.
• Document patient responses to interventions and treatments.
• Assist physician in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Manage IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver patient care and seek coaching when needed.
• Communicate care plan to patient and family at discharge.
• Collaborate with staff to resolve patient concerns.
• Maintain professional certification and pursue development.
