Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the Cardiovascular ICU to provide specialized care during night shifts. The RN II will supervise and participate in high-level nursing tasks, ensuring adherence to standards and patient safety across complex cardiovascular cases.

The position requires 3–5 years of RN experience, Oklahoma RN licensure (OK/eNLC), and BLS certification, with emphasis on teamwork, critical thinking, and efficient care delivery in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Qualifications

• Education and state licensure as an RN.
• 3–5 years of patient care experience.
• BLS certification required; specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physician in examination and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Initiates IV infusions and blood products.
