Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson seeks an experienced RN for Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery/Post Partum/Nursery. You will provide patient-centered care across the Women's Center, coordinating with physicians and staff to support mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities include prenatal screening, labor support, medication administration, and post-discharge education. Requires 1-2 years in acute care nursing and active RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per policies.
• Assess patients and document findings; report changes promptly.
• Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects during labor and postpartum.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans.
