Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson seeks a Mother/Baby Couplet RN to provide postpartum and newborn care in the Women’s Center. You will work across OB and newborn units, coordinating care with the care team and physicians to promote evidence-based practices.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, educate families, and participate in quality and safety initiatives while maintaining compassionate support for mothers and babies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers medications; monitors for side effects and documents administration.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments and post-discharge care.
• Responds to emergencies; participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Maintains infection control standards and safe care environment.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to develop and evaluate care plans.
