Job summary

TMC HealthCare in Tucson is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Newborn Transitional Nurse role in Labor & Delivery. This position supports babies from birth through the immediate postnatal period and works with a team of perinatologists, neonatologists and obstetric specialists.

The ideal nurse will have neonatal/pediatric experience, strong assessment skills, and a family-centered approach. Night shift availability and commitment to high-quality infant care are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
• Arizona RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Attend deliveries and monitor newborns during transition.
• Initiate NRP interventions as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure high-quality infant care.
• Support families during the birth experience.
