Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical (2N) team for night shifts. You will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program (ADN/BSN).
• Current RN license in the state or compact license.
• Completion of hospital-required nursing competencies and certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS).

Responsibilities

• Involve patient and family in care decisions.
• Document and ensure that the plan of care includes problems, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and goals with dates.
• Handoff using SBAR and bedside report.
• Maintain effective communication within multidisciplinary team.
• Perform rounds with physicians and coordinate care.
• Complete required competencies and learning modules timely.
• Provide evidence-based care and share findings with coworkers.
• Participate in process improvement and hospital committees.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and care plans.
