Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Department in a 100% onsite role based in the greater Chicagoland area. The RN will coordinate and provide direct nursing care, act as a resource and mentor, and collaborate with physicians and care teams.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Nursing or higher, IL RN licensure, and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree in Nursing or higher.
Must hold a current RN Licensure State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

Collaborates with physicians to design and evaluate patient care plans and outcomes.
Provides complex nursing care and delegates tasks to Care Team members as appropriate to patient age and unit competencies.
Monitors and ensures quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.
Pursues professional development opportunities independently.
Oversees daily operations of the Patient Care Center to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
Supports hospital policies, vision and compliance standards in daily practice.
