Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial in Harvey, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This 100% onsite role requires night shifts, 7p-730a, with every-other-weekend work, based in the greater Chicagoland area.

The RN will coordinate and perform direct nursing care, collaborate with physicians, supervise care teams, and participate in professional development while upholding hospital standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license for Illinois or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (Healthcare Provider).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians to design and evaluate the patient care plan.
• Provide direct nursing care and delegate tasks to the care team per unit competencies.
• Monitor quality of care and patient satisfaction and address issues.
• Pursue professional development opportunities to grow nursing practice.
• Support daily operations of the Patient Care Center and ensure standards of care.
