Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Ingalls Memorial in Harvey, IL. This 100% onsite role requires a BSN or ADN with current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.

The RN will coordinate and deliver direct patient care and mentor the care team in a fast-paced ED. Responsibilities include collaboration with physicians, ensuring care quality and patient satisfaction, and maintaining daily ED operations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate each patient’s plan of care and outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise/pilot the patient care team within unit scope.
• Monitor quality of care and patient satisfaction; pursue professional development.
• Ensure daily operations of the Patient Care Center run smoothly and in line with hospital policies.
