Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS required in certain units.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN); BSN preferred with ability to obtain BSN in 4 years.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data and information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
