Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical - M6E unit. The 36-hour night schedule includes every other weekend and holidays, with a Magnet®-recognized environment focused on evidence-based care and professional growth.

Ideal candidates hold a MA RN license, have 1+ year of RN experience, BLS, and ACLS where required. BSN is preferred, with opportunities for BSN completion within four years. BMC offers extensive benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as an RN in MA.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS in some units.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN); BSN encouraged within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical-Surgical unit using patient-centered model.
• Communicate with patients, families and health-care team.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities.
• Update and manage patient records accurately.
• Enter and interpret computerized data in the EHR.
• Follow nursing guidelines and participate in quality improvement.
