Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites you to join MedSurg 4A as a Registered Nurse (RN). This Magnet-recognized hospital delivers evidence-based, equitable care and provides a supportive environment focused on training and growth.

The MedSurg unit (34 beds) offers comprehensive inpatient care across diverse patient populations. You will join a team delivering high-quality nursing with rotating weekend shifts (32 hours weekly, 7p-7a or 11p-7a).

Qualifications

Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
Licensure: Current RN MA license & BLS required.
Experience: Prior acute Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care in MedSurg, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data.
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.
