Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking an RN for the 6 Main Medical Surgical Unit at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. You will provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians and a skilled nursing team to deliver comprehensive care.

The role requires ADN, RN licensure in Kentucky, and BLS; three 12-hour night shifts weekly with some weekends/holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license and BLS certification.
• Temporary Work Permit (TWP) eligibility or compact state RN licensure.
• Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide total, comprehensive, nurse-centered care for Medical Surgical patients.
• Assess, document, plan, implement and evaluate care plans with the team.
• Train and delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians and coordinate with physicians.
