Job summary

University of Kentucky seeks an Nursing Support Associate to work with an RN in providing direct patient care and support within the ED/clinical setting. You will assist with vital signs, documentation, phlebotomy, ADLs, and equipment stocking, under supervision.

The role requires active licensing or applicable nursing credentials, ability to lift and move patients, and to work three 12.5-hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), with weekends/holidays as needed. Deadline to apply 09/28/2026.

Qualifications

• One or more of the following licenses/certifications: SRNA, EMT, RN student, LPN, Military Medic, NCT competencies, Earn While You Learn program, and AHA BLS for healthcare provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, documentation, ADL assistance, and specimen handling.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, phlebotomy, and unit organization.
• Respond to patient call lights and help stock supplies; participate in rounds and handoffs.
