Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an RN for the Medical Surgical unit on a 36-hour night schedule, with every other weekend and holidays. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and professional growth within a Magnet-recognized organization.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
1+ years RN experience preferred.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification required in certain units.
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); BSN within 4 years.
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certifications as applicable.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in another language a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit.
Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients.
Communicate with health care team, patients, and families.
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
Update and manage patient records.
Enter and interpret computerized data.
Follow policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
