Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU (Critical Care) unit on a 36-hour Night shift, with every-other-weekend coverage. This Magnet-recognized hospital offers a mission-driven environment and opportunities for professional growth.

You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support quality initiatives while meeting licensing, credentialing, and unit-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Active or pending Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN preferred with ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit across assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records in the EHR.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
