Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 6 South Med/Surg/Oncology unit at Aurora West Allis Medical Center in Wisconsin. The role offers full-time status with weekend night coverage and 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am, on a 36-hour workweek.
Eligible nurses will participate in Nurse Residency and gain chemo certification after two years. We provide tuition assistance, loan forgiveness, and a $5 night differential plus a weekend differential.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- New grads and experienced RNs welcome.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational skills through Nurse Residency and Preceptor orientation.
- Develop time management and triage skills across med/surg patients.
- Coordinate patient care using the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic care.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide continuity of care during 12‑hour shifts and bedside care.
- Contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered care environment.
