Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring, Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the 16-bed Med/Surg unit for a 12-hour night shift.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Maryland or compact-state RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate nurse or RN with active license in Maryland or compact state.
• BSN or higher preferred; must obtain if not present.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
• Communicate variances from goals and advocate for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely health records.
• Administer medications, educate patients, monitor effects.
• Assess, monitor, and record patient condition.
• Design and evaluate patient care plans with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families during stay and at discharge.
