Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Germantown, MD seeks a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg/Telemetry on a 12-hour night shift. You will deliver bedside care for acutely ill patients, including pre/post-surgical cases, and collaborate within a fast-paced 30-bed unit with a vRN and CNA support.

Requirements include RN license in Maryland, BLS, and at least 1 year acute care experience. BSN preferred; strong communication and EHR skills are essential. Competitive pay and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred; agreement to obtain BSN/MSN if not on hire.
• Current licensure by Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as RN.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical and telemetry patients that are acutely ill; focusing on stroke/neuro.
• Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care through nursing interventions and communication of results to the team.
• Provide education to patients and families for all medical diagnoses.
