Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Float Pool night shift. You will deliver patient-centered care across multiple inpatient units using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Three 12-hour shifts, weekend rotation, and 36 hours per week are offered with benefits.

Required: nursing program graduation, minimum 2 years inpatient nursing, active RN license (multi-state compact acceptable), and BLS. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific as applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to adapt across multiple units

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice.
• Monitor complex patient conditions and administer treatments across Med Surg units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across units to drive optimal outcomes
• Promote safety, document accurately, and support communication and delegation
