Job summary

Ascension in Franklin, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit, working night shifts on a full-time basis. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based nursing care, close patient monitoring, and seamless coordination across the care team to support safe, effective treatments.

You will participate in discharge planning and family education, ensuring patients have the knowledge and resources needed for recovery at home.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from Wisconsin Board of Nursing before hire date or via multi-state/compact license.

Responsibilities

• Lead compassionate nursing care with emphasis on safety and clinical excellence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the care team for timely interventions.
• Serve as central liaison among physicians, specialists, and staff to coordinate care.
• Own discharge planning to ensure patients and families have resources for home recovery.
