Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking a registered nurse for night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role involves planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process, with emphasis on assessment, discharge planning, and teamwork within a clinical setting.

Current MA nursing licensure is required; BLS is mandatory, ACLS preferred. BSN is highly preferred, with opportunities for professional growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• BSN highly preferred for this role.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing discipline and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within assigned setting and supervises staff.
• Documents patient care per procedure and supports education plans for patient/family.
• Administers medications and supports tests and treatments as required.
• Contributes to Nursing Governance and quality improvement initiatives.
