Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift (7p–7a) with rotating weekends to deliver high-quality patient care. You will perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, teach patients and families, and work with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Key requirements include BSN preference, RN license, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and successful completion of telemetry and stroke scale training.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and RN licensure.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Annual mandatory education requirements.
• Telemetry Cardiac Rhythm Course completed.
• NIH Stroke Scale training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and education.
• Develop and revise the plan of care with patient needs.
• Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Administer medications safely and monitor effects.
• Communicate care plans via SBAR at shift change.
