Job summary

Crestview in Shelbyville, KY is seeking a registered nurse for night shift (full-time, 30 hrs/week minimum). You will coordinate patient care with the healthcare team, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• RN license current in the state.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications as prescribed and records notes.
• Monitors vital signs and records data.
• Monitors equipment and interprets displays.
• Initiates corrective action for adverse symptoms.
• Provides bedside care for diverse medical patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs.
• Aids physician during examinations and treatments.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per nursing standards.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Maintains timely, accurate care documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
