Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio Central is a long-term acute care facility inside Baptist Medical Center, providing specialized care for patients recovering from critical illness. The RN will plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, provides and evaluates nursing care.
• Documents patient assessment and plans in the medical record.
• Administers medications following five rights of medication administration.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures as permitted.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient education.
