Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio Central is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our LTAC team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support recovery and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license in Texas, up-to-date BLS, ACLS preferred, and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Basic computer knowledge for charting and documentation.
• Ability to organize tasks and set priorities under pressure.
• Fluent English reading and writing.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
• Develops nursing care plans with patient, family, and staff.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Administers medication using the five rights.
• Mentors and orients new personnel.
