Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio Central is seeking an experienced registered nurse to deliver high-quality care for critically ill patients. You will apply the nursing process and serve as a patient advocate within a multidisciplinary team.

The role centers on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, coordinating discharge planning, and ensuring safe medication administration and accurate documentation in the EMR. ACLS/BCLS certifications are expected for fast-paced ICU care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in Texas.
• ACLS/BCLS certifications required.
• Experience in critical care preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Serve as patient advocate and coordinate with the care team.
• Develop and update the patient care plan on admission; adjust as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes; initiate emergency actions.
• Administer medications safely following the seven rights.
• Document in the EMR and ensure patient education and discharge planning.
