Job summary

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced RN/LPN Supervisor for the overnight shift to lead clinical operations and nursing staff. You will partner with the DON and ADON to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and smooth shift coverage.

Responsibilities include directing nursing activities, mentoring RNs/LPNs/CNAs, performing rounds, ensuring documentation accuracy, and coordinating admissions and room readiness.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of New Jersey
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care
• At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative or restorative nursing
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department operations during the overnight shift
• Support the DON and ADON in maintaining high standards of resident care
• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performance
• Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage throughout the shift
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely clinical interventions
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room readiness
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and clinical charting
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal requirements
• Participate in surveys, audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, resident concerns, and grievances
• Ensure completion of narcotic counts and emergency equipment and safety checks
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Assist with maintaining continuity and quality of care across shifts
